The Canterville Ghost

Specially for Halloween Half Term. A one man show full of chills and chuckles, based on the charming short story by Oscar Wilde. And at 3pm head down to Lord Savile’s Kitchen for a steaming mug of tea or coffee and freshly baked scones. Suitable for anyone aged 6 and over.

Spooky Halloween Terror Trail

Sat 21 Oct – Sun 4 Nov

We will be once again hosting our spooky halloween terror trail. You will be able to explore the haunted hideaways, creepy woods and our hidden
terrors. The trail is self led and you will be able to purchase these from our visitor reception daily from 10.30pm – 4pm. £1 each and you will
receive a prize if you survive!


Christmas Market

Working alongside All About Tourism we are proud to announce that we will be hosting a special Christmas Market where you will be able to shop
for unique gifts, enjoy food and drink and even pop along and meet Santa.


Christmas at Rufford

Sat 18 Nov – Sat 23 Dec
£5 per child (parking £3 per car)

Every Saturday and Sunday we will be opening our extra special sparkling Christmas grotto. From 11am – 4pm. Bring the little ones to meet Santa and his helpers and every child will receive a gift.


Family Christmas Crafts

Sat 9 – Sun 10 December – Seminar Room, Stables
Courtyard. 11am – 3pm.
£5 per item made. Buy your ticket at the Gift Shop on the day.

Get in the festive mood and keep the youngsters busy with our drop in make-it sessions. All materials supplied. We’ll make willow Christmas wreaths, willow Christmas trees, or maybe even reindeers.


Christmas Carols in the Park

9 December – from 1pm, (parking £3 per car)

The Award Winning Lace City Chorus will be with us to perform some classic Christmas carols and songs to help you get into the festive spirit.
Mansfield Community Choir will be with us on 10 December from 1.30pm to perform some classic Christmas carols and songs to help you get into the festive spirit.


Santa Punch & Judy with Professor Paul Temple

Sat 16 and Sun 17 December –
Stables courtyard, noon to 3pm. (parking £3 per car)

A special outdoor Christmas theme Punch & Judy show with ever popular children’s entertainer Paul Temple. A little close up magic and balloon modelling adds to the fun.
